May 30, 2025 – Celebrity Cruises is investing more than $250 million in its five-ship Solstice-class fleet, starting with the class's namesake, the Celebrity Solstice. The renovations on this ship will be completed in March 2026..
The ships, which average 122.000 gross tonnage and are being built by the MEYER shipyard in Papenburg, are undergoing fundamental changes in eight areas from bow to stern. The Solstice-class ships are: Celebrity Solstice, Celebrity Equinox, Celebrity Eclipse, Celebrity Silhouette and Celebrity Reflection.
All 1.479 cabins will be modernized, along with new bars and lounges:
- Boulevard Lounge – a show lounge at its finest;
- Boulevard Bar – a few steps from the Boulevard Lounge;
- Celebrity Barcade – the new upscale sports bar.

New culinary highlights:
- Trattoria Rossa – the restaurant combines opulence with modern design;
- Fine Cut Steakhouse – established on the Celebrity Edge-class ships, the Solstice-class also receives this well-rated and popular restaurant.
The approximately 2.000-square-meter lawn on the open-air deck will be called Sunset Park. It will offer fine dining, refreshing cocktails, lawn games, open-air concerts, and much more.
There will also be new private cabanas and an expanded Sunset Bar. Suite guests can look forward to improved suites. The Retreat, the retreat for suite guests, will be completely redesigned. A sun deck and the redesigned Retreat Lounge for suite guests will also be undergoing changes.
Many other areas of the Solstice-class ships will also receive upgrades. These include Café Al Bacio, Cellar Masters, World Class Bar, Martini Bar, Pool Bar, Passport Bar, Blu (exclusively for AquaClass guests), Luminae (exclusively for Retreat guests), as well as the Fitness Center and Camp at Sea. Well-equipped, the Celebrity Solstice will embark on her 2026-day "Grand Voyage" between mid-September 2027 and early January 111. The voyage will visit 55 destinations.
