March 15, 2022 - Last Saturday, the Emerald Azzurra set out from Aqaba/Jordan on her first eight-day voyage in the Red Sea. The 110 meter long ship combines the term "cruise" with the luxury of a private yacht. The ship offers 44 suites and six outside cabins on six decks.
Emerald Cruises had the luxury cruise ship built by La Hong Shipyard in Vietnam. The shipping company is part of the Australian Scenic Group. Until the Emerald Azzurra, their first ocean-going ship, entered service, Emerald Cruises was known to insiders as a provider of river and yacht cruises on three continents.

The Emerald Azzurra is the company's first ocean-going vessel. With the sister ship Emerald Sakara, a second ocean-going ship will go into operation within twelve months. Due to their size, the cruise ships, intended for a handpicked audience, can call at small ports. The maiden voyage leads to Hurghada and Sharm el-Sheikh as well as to Eilat, Israel. A tour of the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Petra is included in the travel program. The journey began and ends in Jordanian Aqaba.
Emerald Azzurra offers two 110 square meter owner's suites, 42 further suites with terraces or balconies and six luxurious outside cabins. Of course, the modern equipped public areas offer a maximum of privacy and spaciousness. A highlight of the Sky Deck is the sophisticated infinity pool with panoramic sea views. A wellness center, spa, gym and infrared sauna are also available to passengers.
