October 5, 2024 – It is not without reason that the two Hapag-Lloyd cruise ships are ranked in the luxury segment. To ensure that this remains the case, the MS EUROPA underwent a three-week stay in the shipyard in Bremerhaven. With technical and optical improvements, the 25-year-old cruise ship set off yesterday for a cruise from Hamburg to Malta.

134 suites have undergone visual changes. New features include a color scheme in warm coral tones, elegant furniture and a stylish carpet in light beige. Two Grand Penthouse Suites have undergone improvements, offering travelers the highest level of comfort and timeless elegance.
The pool area has been redesigned. Maritime blue, green and turquoise tones dominate. Modern lounge furniture and a new pool have been added.

At the same time, the MS EUROPA underwent technical changes. A multi-stage wastewater treatment plant was installed. It treats and processes grey and black water to protect the oceans. Investments were made in air conditioning technology to increase energy efficiency. The crew mess was renovated and equipped with modern furniture and a fresh color scheme.
In November and December 2024, the ship will move to Caribbean destinations. Along the way, Tenerife, Gran Canaria and the Cape Verde Islands.
