April 25, 2025 – On 26 April 2025 the time has come: With the launch of the AIDAnova begins in the Baltic Sea port Kiel officially the 2025 cruise season. The modern LNG cruiser marks the start of a varied season in which the Kissing mouth fleet from AIDA Cruises plays a key role again.
Around a third of all expected cruise calls in Kiel are by ships of the AIDA fleet – a clear sign of the close partnership between the shipping company and the Schleswig-Holstein state capital.

Three AIDA ships, 60 calls and countless destinations

Sustainability and local commitment
AIDA Cruises also demonstrates its presence – and responsibility – in Kiel beyond its travels. In 2021, AIDA was the first shipping company to use the new Shore power system of Kiel Harbour. In 2025, the use will be further expanded: From autumn onwards, the parallel supply of two ships be possible.
