MS Amadea and MS Deutschland back in service after a fresh treatment


May 8, 2024 - The Bonn-based cruise operator Phoenix Reisen had two of its cruise ships, the MS Amadea and the MS Deutschland, brought into shape by Bremerhaven shipyards for around 20 million euros.

The more complex work was carried out on the MS Amadea. According to the shipping company, Bremerhaven's Lloyd Werft brought it up to date with the latest technology. The main engines were completely overhauled, the exhaust system was renewed, new fresh water pipes and a second osmosis water production unit were installed.

The suite area underwent visual improvements. All suites and junior suites have been redesigned. The wellness area also received new panoramic windows and air conditioning units were replaced. The “Pichlers Restaurant” with 8 seats was set up on the 42th deck. There is no extra charge for the restaurant area for ship guests. A permanent snack buffet is now available to guests in Harry's Bar.

The MS Deutschland was redesigned by the Bredo shipyard in Bremerhaven. The ship received its summer Phoenix paint called “MS Deutschland”. In addition, the underwater paint was renewed and the teak deck was spruced up. The interior carpets and upholstery were renewed. Many cabins received new mattresses.

Travel options:
MS Deutschland is currently on a twelve-day cruise around the British Isles. – MS Amadea is taking two short introductory cruises and will be cruising in the southern Norwegian fjords from May 10, 2024.
