Oceania Cruises – New build Allura has been launched

July 2, 2024 – After the Oceania Vista, which entered service in 2023, the construction of the second Allura-class ship, the Oceania Allura, is making good progress. The ship has been launched at the Fincantieri shipyard in Sestri Ponente near Genoa. The interior work is now beginning at the shipyard's outfitting quay.

If there are no delays, the Allura will officially launch on July 18, 2025 in Triest The maiden voyage will take the ship through the Eastern Mediterranean to Athens and is scheduled for six days. There is still a lot to do in the coming year, especially installing the ship's luxurious elements.

The focus of the work is on the suites, lounges and exceptional restaurants. The new boutique ship promises to be a masterpiece with sophisticated design and innovative offerings that will set new standards in the cruise industry. Frank A. Del Rio, President of Oceania Cruises, announced in this context, "there will be many exciting changes that will further improve our offering."

Designed to accommodate a maximum of 1.200 guests, the new boutique ship was blessed by the shipyard's chaplain, Father Stefano, in a silent ceremony to commemorate the recently deceased General Claudio Graziano, Chairman of Fincantieri. Caterina Romeo, designer in Fincantieri's technical department, traditionally christened the ship Allura and blessed the ship and all who will travel on her.
