Port of Rostock successfully concludes the 2023 cruise season


December 29, 2023 – The Rostock-Warnemünde cruise port is closing the 2023 season with significant success. With ship calls remaining almost the same, the operating company of the Warnemünde cruise terminal counted 39 percent more passengers than in the previous year.

The port will end 2023 with 130 ship calls. Last year, 139 cruise ships called at Rostock-Warnemünde. The number of ships remained almost unchanged at 31 (previous year 30). A 39 percent increase was recorded in passenger numbers. After 294.000 travelers in the previous year, there were a total of 2023 guests in the 410.000 reporting year. This corresponds to an increase of around 39 percent. The last ship visit was made by the “Spirit of Discovery” from the English shipping company Saga Cruises.

The 2024 season begins on April 14th with the call of the AIDAmar. A total of 145 calls from 35 different cruise ships are expected. The AIDAdiva and the AIDAmar fly the flag in the terminal area most often – 69 times in total. Eight ships are calling at the port in the Warnow estuary for the first time. Among the first calls are the brand new Mein Schiff 7 and the Azamara Onwards.
