April 8, 2020 - The global spread of the coronavirus is currently presenting economies and companies with unprecedented challenges.
Global travel has come to a standstill. Due to the current entry regulations in the worldwide destinations, a normalization of travel is not expected before the end of May 2020 at the moment.
These extraordinary and unpredictable circumstances force AIDA to extend the temporary break in the travel season. Unfortunately, all trips up to and including May 31, 2020 cannot take place as planned. All guests who have planned a trip with AIDA during this period will be informed. The booking is processed chronologically according to the departure date.
AIDA is very keen to enable its guests to take their long-awaited AIDA vacation at a later date. In return, AIDA will reimburse all guests whose trip was canceled between March 8th and May 31st, 2020, the travel price already paid in the form of a travel credit. AIDA would like to thank the guests for their trust with a bonus of 10 % on the payment already made. The credit can be used for bookings made by December 31.12.2021, XNUMX for all AIDA trips from the diverse range. Guests are free to choose for which services they would like to use their credit - whether to offset the travel price, for an on-board credit or for MyAIDA services such as excursions, culinary offers and wellness treatments.
To support travel agency sales in these challenging times, AIDA will pay out a cash advance. This amounts to 10% of the credit value and is transferred to the sales partner as soon as AIDA has created the travel credit for the joint customer.
AIDA will reimburse guests who do not want to use their credit, including the 10% bonus, the travel price in the amount of the payment already made. Guests can find detailed information on travel credit at www.aida.de
