January 26, 2022 - AIDA Cruises will continue to expand its Selection program.
The AIDAselection trips, which are very popular with guests, will be offered and further developed in the future regardless of the ship class. Guests can expect a wide range of special routes with authentic travel experiences.
In October 2022, a Sphinx-class ship will go on a world tour for the first time with AIDAsol. Highlights of this 117-day XXL adventure are the circumnavigation of Cape Horn and the Cape of Good Hope, destinations such as the Avenue of the Glaciers, Tierra del Fuego, Mauritius, Cape Town and New Year's Eve in Sydney.
Guests will travel to the Lofoten Islands with AIDAbella, to the highlights of the Arctic Circle with AIDAluna and AIDAblu will offer extraordinary experiences on trips to Mauritius, Seychelles and Madagascar. The new offer is supplemented by the cruises of AIDAvita and AIDAaura, which will ensure unforgettable Selection moments in summer 2022 with their routes to the Scottish Islands or to the archipelago of the Baltic Sea.
Every AIDAselection trip inspires with unique highlights. Thanks to exclusive excursions and longer stays in the country, guests get to know the country and its people intensively. Experienced guides will surprise you with real insider tips. Depending on the route, renowned lecturers come on board. Detailed information is on www.aida.de a DAK Bungalow.
In addition to further developing the offers of its existing fleet, AIDA Cruises is investing in state-of-the-art environmental technology for its new ships as part of its Green Cruising strategy.
With the commissioning of AIDAcosma on February 26, 2022, AIDA Cruises will continue on its sustainable growth course. It is the second AIDA newbuild to be operated with low-emission liquefied natural gas (LNG).
AIDA Cruises is also researching the use of emission-neutral fuels and plans to use fuel cells and batteries on AIDA ships for the first time in 2022. In the ports, AIDA is committed to the further development of shore power supply from renewable energies. The ships in the AIDA fleet already use shore power where this is technically possible, or are technically prepared for it.
As part of the realignment of the Selection concept, AIDA Cruises will hand over the ship AIDAmira to a new owner in March 2022.
