March 23, 2023 - Whether it's "Viva Colonia", "Give me your heart" or "If not now, then when?" - almost everyone knows a HÖHNER classic. The Cologne cult band has been keeping everyone in a good mood for 51 years and is therefore an indispensable part of the Wiesn Warm-up 2023 as a top live act.
AIDA - Oktoberfest warm-up
The Bavarian AIDA Special Wiesn Warm-up finds from September 9 to 16, 2023 on board AIDAprima to get in the mood for the Oktoberfest. Guests can look forward to great fun with many mood cannons and culinary artists. Other live acts such as voXXclub, Tim Toupet and Rotzlöffl invite you to sway and sing along to a mix of Bavarian beats, folk music and contemporary hits. The AIDA gourmet sponsors Stefan Marquard and Andrea Schirmaier-Huber conjure up Bavarian-style culinary delicacies. In the brewery, guests enjoy hearty dishes, taste freshly tapped beer from the on-board brewery and experience many Bavarian festival traditions.
On the seven-day cruise from AIDAprima From/to Hamburg to Norway's loveliest port cities, guests experience an all-round atmospheric festival program to join in: Whether it's arm wrestling, veal sausage zuzelling or yodelling - there's something for every taste. Birgit Widmann is a genuine Tyrolean and really gets her vocal cords going at the yodelling workshop. All guests who like to celebrate in good company can also look forward to hearty brewery activities such as "Wiesn-Gaudi", "Alpenglühn" or even a "Frühschoppen" with a good party tent atmosphere. The "Sirtaki" of the Alps, the so-called Schuhplattler, can be learned from the AIDA hosts. There are also different quiz campaigns on board.
AIDA Wiesn warm up - the bands
Fans of Bavarian cuisine are also offered a selected program of delicacies: beer lovers can enjoy the beer - in contrast to the Oktoberfest beer - for only 9,90 euros. The freshly tapped Zwickel beer and a promotional beer come from the on-board brewery and are brewed with seawater and in accordance with the German Purity Law. Guests can take a look behind the scenes of the "house brewery" in a brewing seminar, taste the beer with a snack and finally receive a brewery diploma. In addition to classic, hearty dishes such as pork knuckle, Brauhaus pan, potato dumplings, Brauhaus duck, goulash, sausage salad or the Brauhaus snack, the AIDA gourmet godfathers Stefan Marquard and Andrea Schirmaier-Huber prepare other specialties on board. Among other things, the guests can look forward to a sausage workshop, a tasting with a joint butcher's breakfast and a hearty evening in the brewery with traditional snacks and homemade bratwurst. The culinary offerings are rounded off by the seminars held by cheese sommelier Wolf Wagener, who will present typical brewery cheeses.
