By October 2023, all ships in the AIDA fleet will be equipped with the Starlink broadband service. Other shipping companies have previously used the SpaceX product. Elon Musk says hello. It is now clear that AIDA Cruises will be offering the best possible available Wi-Fi experience at sea this year. - So far, only three fleet ships have been equipped with Starlink antennas. The practical test is running to the satisfaction of all those involved. Guests and crew appreciate the faster internet connections and enjoy the more comfortable surfing the net, and last but not least, digital work on board is made easier.
AIDAbella
From mid-July this year, guests and employees of the AIDAblu, the AIDAbella and the AIDAstella. As an incentive, AIDA Cruises is offering the “Starlink Special” introductory offer. As part of this offer, the Internet packages L, XL and XXL are offered with twice the volume at the usual price. For booked packages, the volume is doubled automatically. Parents of children and teenagers will probably be happy about the 50 percent discount on booking the social media flat “Fifty” in the myAIDA* service portal.
The shipping company emphasizes that in the future, the combination of different technologies, services and broadband connections will provide AIDA guests and crew members with a reliable, fast and inexpensive Internet connection in all AIDA cruising areas.
