February 25, 2019 - After regular class and maintenance work in Marseille, the AIDAcara resumed its service yesterday. The 193-meter-long cruise ship is expected in the Port of Hamburg on March 9, 2019.

The one used for the “AIDA Selection discovery program” AIDAcara underwent some changes in addition to routine maintenance. The suite area has been upgraded. Suites and junior suites shine in new splendor. The stairwells and corridors have also been redesigned.
The restaurants have to report significant changes. The Markt Restaurant and the Calypso Restaurant were modernized and received new furniture. The Selection Restaurant also features a new design. It offers guests regional and local dishes from the regions visited. The Body & Soul Spa and the pool area have also been redesigned.

AIDAcara cast off yesterday in Palma de Mallorca with destination Hamburg. The list of routes includes Lisbon, Dover and Rotterdam. AIDAcara is expected in Hamburg on March 9, 2019. AIDAcara will then take the popular "Winter in the Far North" route. Following this, it will offer cruises from Kiel to the most beautiful Scandinavian cities in the Baltic Sea. Highlights of the 2019 season are "The Great Baltic Sea Journey" from Kiel and the "Iceland & Greenland 2 "from Bremerhaven.
Three older and smaller ships are currently being used for the AIDA Selection discovery program. The AIDAmira will join the fleet in December 2019. So far it has been running under the name Costa neoRiviera for Costa cruises.
