Costa Cruises strengthens its presence in Dubai: Starting today, the Costa Firenze will regularly set out on week-long cruises in the Arabian Gulf. The desert city is the home port of the new Costa ship, which was only put into service last July, up to and including March.

At the same time as the launch, the Costa Firenze inaugurated Dubai Harbor, Dubai's new cruise port, today. At the same time, the Costa guests discover the Expo 2020. The focus here is the Italian pavilion, for the Costa Crociere gold sponsor is with the advantage of special tours without waiting.

The new Dubai Harbor Cruise Terminal was built by Costa Firenze together with AIDAbella, a ship from AIDA cruises - the German brand of the Costa Group - inaugurated with a spectacular ceremony.

The project is part of a strategic partnership between Carnival Corporation & plc, the world's largest cruise company, and Shamal Holding, which aims to make Dubai the region's leading maritime tourism hub. The Dubai Harbor Cruise Terminal is the first cruise port with two terminals in the region and can accommodate two large cruise ships at the same time. Located in the heart of modern Dubai, the facility extends over 120.000 square meters and includes two specially constructed terminal buildings that enable passengers and crew to embark and disembark safely, comfortably and seamlessly.

Six Carnival Corporation subsidiaries - AIDA Cruises, Costa Crociere, Cunard, P & O Cruises (UK) Princess Cruises and Seabourn - the Dubai Harbor Cruise Terminal. A total of 90 calls to the new cruise port are planned by the six shipping companies. The Costa Firenze berths at the Dubai Harbor Cruise Terminal every week until March 18, 2022.

The Costa Firenze itinerary, which includes long stays in the ports of Dubai (two days) and Abu Dhabi (one full day, from 9am to midnight), allows guests to fully enjoy Expo 2020 in Dubai . Thanks to the collaboration with the Italian pavilion, the company offers exclusive tours of the world exhibition.

The guests of the Costa Firenze enter the Expo with its almost 200 pavilions without queuing through a special entrance. The main focus of the tour offered by Costa is the Italian Pavilion.

The Italian pavilion cannot be overlooked on the Expo site, has an area of ​​around 3.500 square meters and is over 25 meters high. The guiding principle “Italian beauty” has always been a connecting element between peoples, talents, the Mediterranean cultural heritage and the bridge to the future. The pavilion pays homage to Italy's seafaring tradition, for the constant exchanges and relationships with the world that have allowed Italy to become that mix of culture, ingenuity, talent and art so valued around the world. Costa Crociere is presented in the exhibition in its leading role on the subject of sustainability in the transport and tourism sector.
