On the occasion of the 72nd edition of the Sanremo Festival, the most popular Italian Sanremo Festival, the most popular Italian singing competition, music also arrives at sea for the first time thanks to the collaboration between Costa Cruises and Rai Pubblicità.

Costa Toscana, the new "green" ship of the Italian fleet, will be the floating stage for the live shows by two stars of the past editions of the Festival: Orietta Berti and Fabio Rovazzi. You will be accompanied by exceptional Italian artists who will perform on the stage of one of the ship's theaters every evening.

Costa Toscana will not only be present at the Sanremo Festival on TV, on Rai Uno, but also on the radio. Thus, the program "Tre per due" by Rai Radio Due with the "Gemelli di Guidonia" and the band "Stefano Signoroni & the MC" will be heard throughout the festival. be on board for the entire duration of the festival.

Orietta Berti and Fabio Rovazzi will also be the protagonists of an entertaining web series that will be broadcast on Costa's social channels, telling about their experiences on Costa Toscana during the Sanremo Festival and giving the public the opportunity to discover the new ship discover. The six episodes were conceived by Fabio Rovazzi in collaboration with Hello, Costa's social media agency, and written by Matteo Grandi, directed by Carlani and Dogana, and produced by Don't Movie.

The Costa Toscana is anchored about a kilometer off the port of Sanremo, where she arrived on January 30th and will remain until February 6th. There will be no public presence on board except for those who, in addition to the ship's crew members, will contribute to the scheduled onboard events. For this reason, a special health protocol was drawn up and sent to the responsible health authorities.

Costa Toscana is the new Italian flagged ship in the Costa Cruises fleet. Built at the Meyer shipyard in Turku (Finland) and will embark on her first Mediterranean cruise on March 5, 2022 from Savona. The ship is designed as a true "smart city" when traveling and is powered by LNG, the emission reduction technology. Costa was the first company to introduce this technology on cruise ships. On board there is 100% waste separation and recycling of materials such as plastic, paper, glass and aluminum collected and recycled separately. All daily water needs are met by converting seawater in desalination plants. The energy requirement is reduced to a minimum thanks to an intelligent energy efficiency system.

The interior design of Costa Toscana is the result of an exceptional creative project curated by Adam D. Tihany to highlight and experience the best of this wonderful region in a single place. Furniture, lighting, fabrics and accessories are all "Made in Italy" and designed by 15 partners who represent Italian excellence. The offer on board is perfectly integrated into this exceptional setting: from the Solemio Spa to the entertainment areas, from the themed bars in collaboration with major Italian and international brands to the 21 restaurants and areas dedicated to the "culinary experience".
This also includes the new Archipelago restaurant, which offers menus created by three Michelin-starred chefs, Bruno Barbieri, Hélène Darroze and Ángel León, while supporting and financing the marine protection projects carried out by the Costa Crociere Foundation.
