October 24, 2018 - Italian cooking is now available on individual ships in the Mein Schiff fleet. These days, Mein Schiff 3 and Mein Schiff 4 are launching a surcharge-based restaurant with an Italian menu. It replaces the aging restaurant Richard - Feines Essen. The star chef Theodor Falser from Welschnofen near Bozen / South Tyrol is responsible for the culinary concept.

According to a survey, the guests of the Mein Schiff fleet wanted an upscale Italian restaurant. The urge came with the restaurant La Spezia - Enjoy Italian complied. Richards had to give way - fine food. Mein Schiff 4 First changed the restaurant concept on October 16, 2018. Mein Schiff 3 will follow on October 27, 2018. Theodor Falser was honored with a Michelin star in 2014 as head chef of the gourmet restaurant Johannesstube in the Hotel SPA & Gourmet Resort Engel in Welschnofen. Falser's credo is: "Taste Nature".
