October 25, 2024 – Construction of the new building will begin on March 16 next year Mein Schiff Relax departs Palma for its first official voyage. And the name of the sister ship of the Mein Schiff Relax launched. It is called “Mein Schiff flow".
Before Mein Schiff Relax is taken over by TUI Cruises, the prototype is undergoing various sea tests, so-called sea trials. These have just been successfully completed by the Fincantieri shipyard in the Mediterranean with the participation of future senior officers of the new ship. When driving numerous maneuvers such as the Williamson turn, the zigzag course or a 360-degree turning circle maneuver, Mein Schiff Relax has demonstrated its great manoeuvrability at top speed. The shipping company concludes: The first ship in the Mein Schiff® Fleet drives confidently and safely. That's not all: In a few weeks, the new LNG drive will be put through its paces on a second test run. TUI Cruises' future flagship will be launched on 9 April 2025 in Málaga baptized.

And that’s not all: The TUI Cruises fleet is getting another new addition. The second ship of the InTUItion class is being named Mein Schiff Flow. This new addition is expected in 2026. It is based on Mein Schiff Relax. In the advertising language of TUI Cruises boss Wybcke Meier, this sounds like this: “The eponymous ‘flow’ is reflected in the entire design of the ship as well as in the special atmosphere on board and makes it easy to let go, relax and slow down.” According to the shipping company, this means that guests on board the Mein Schiff Flow you can look forward to the highest level of enjoyment, freedom and relaxation.
Mein Schiff Flow is TUI Cruises' third new ship in three years, increasing the fleet's capacity by almost 60 percent. My ship Relax and My ship Flow runs on liquefied gas. They are also equipped with improved catalytic converters and a shore power connection.
