May 19, 2022 – In the future, Hapag-Lloyd Cruises will waive certain hygiene regulations when boarding. As of today, simplified boarding regulations apply to ships in the Hapag-Lloyd Cruises fleet. With this measure, the company follows the parent company TUI Cruises. From May 29th, TUI Cruises will relax the hygiene requirements on board the fleet.
The German provider of luxury and expedition travel is relaxing its health concept on board the five ships. The simplifications announced today mainly relate to the obligation to wear a mask. From now on, guests are allowed to stay in the interior and exterior areas of the ships without a mask. With the decision, the company is reacting to the falling incidence values and the falling COVID protection restrictions worldwide.
