Hurtigruten Expeditions offers more departures from Hamburg

December 2, 2021 | German vacationers love Norway and especially the North Cape. Since August XNUMX the expedition ship MS Otto Sverdrup has been making regular trips to the far north since August 2021. The expedition voyages are fully booked in the first quarter of 2022. This is why Hurtigruten Expeditions will be deploying another hybrid expedition ship from Hamburg, the MS Fridtjof Nansen, from January 2022. As a result of the good number of bookings, the Nordland offer will be expanded in the 2023/24 season.

Hurtigruten Expeditions, the world's leading provider of expedition voyages, offers 25 departures with the MS Otto Sverdrup Hamburg in the 2023/24 season. The 15-day expeditions to Norway with MS Otto Sverdrup combine the best impressions of the traditional mail ship route with attractions of the Norwegian coast and the North Capes. MS Otto Sverdrup is not bound to the timetable of the post ships.

The company is offering eleven expeditions to Norway with MS Otto Sverdrup in the 2023/24 summer season. On several trips, the expedition participants experience the midnight sun as an addition. The winter cruises aim to see the spectacular Northern Lights. The ship therefore spends a lot of time north of the Arctic Circle in the most active northern light belt. This is where the winter strongholds are Tromsø and Alta, which invite you to go on optional trips by dog sled or snowmobile.

The guests are looked after by a German-speaking expedition team on board. The experts accompany landings, give lectures on their respective research focuses or lead activities in the on-board Science Center. In the 2023/24 season, the expedition equipment on the ships will be increased. Travelers enjoy a wider variety of activities.
