March 19, 2024 – HX (Hurtigruten Expeditions) will be running gradually from November 2024 an all-inclusive offer on all expedition voyages. Guests booked on Antarctic and Galapagos expeditions from October 2024 will be the first to benefit from the regulation.
In December 2023, the expedition area was split off from the traditional Hurtigruten mail ship concept. The measure can be seen as a further step in product development. Those responsible for the expedition area are concerned with introducing modern, contemporary guest experiences.
The all-inclusive offer includes participation in daily expert-led excursions, participation in scientific activities on board and off the ships, as well as alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks or the taking of professional photographs. The company intends to make the travel experience on board more comfortable and simplify the sale of trips by integrating numerous services as standard. The new HX “all-inclusive” offering includes expert-led excursions, scientific activities on board and ashore, and a diverse culinary offering.
