Karl WP Beyer April 1st, 2022 - MS Deutschland, the former dream ship of the Germans, will be sailing from April 22nd on a half-yearly full charter for the Bonn-based tour operator Phoenix Reisen. MS Deutschland departs from the base port of Bremerhaven to selected European destinations.
The former pride of the German crusaders, the luxury ship was christened by former Federal President Richard von Weizsäcker, sailed under the Deilmann flag for a long time. After the company went bankrupt in 2014, a US investor took over the "dream ship". Since then it has operated for two companies: under the name MS Deutschland for Phoenix Reisen and under the name World Odyssey for the US tour operator Semester at Sea. The ship has belonged to Delos Cruise since January 2018. The charter contract with Phoenix Reisen runs until 2025.
Bremerhaven - Columbuskaje with MS Germany
After a two-year break due to corona, it's time to cast off again. From April 22nd, MS Deutschland will depart from the base port Bremerhaven to selected European cruise destinations. The trips last between seven and twenty days. Phoenix Reisen promises the ship guests excellent service on board and the typical Phoenix atmosphere to feel good. Destinations are the Norwegian fjords, Spitsbergen, Reykjavik / Iceland (see also Iceland - Golden Circle Tour), the Baltic Sea and the Portuguese Atlantic Islands.
