True to the saying “Do good and talk about it”, a charity concert took place in the Elbphilharmonie on the evening before the christening. The MSC Foundation invited to this paid event, the ticket prices were between 29 and 99 euros. The organization supports those regions in which the MSC Group is active. 100 percent of the proceeds from ticket sales benefit the development of the Tidal Elbe and the Hamburg dyke foreland.

The new building is equipped with a shore power connection. It also has modern nitrogen oxide catalytic converters, exhaust gas washers and a garbage processing system. All this is not enough for NABU Hamburg: For example, it still lacks the technology to filter out small particles from the exhaust air.
