The MSC Seascape successfully completed its first intensive system tests at sea during a multi-day test cruise from August 17th to 20th. MSC Seascape is the fourth Seaside-class ship and the second Seaside EVO ship to be built in Italy by Fincantieri, one of the world's largest shipbuilders.
 
The Seaside EVO ships are an evolution of the innovative and popular Seaside class with striking design features, impressive public areas and exciting guest experiences. MSC Seascape pays homage to the beauty of the ocean and allows guests to enjoy new perspectives at sea.

The 169.400 GT ship will arrive at the end of November MSC Cruises delivered and put into service in December 2022 to year-round from Miami Offer trips to the Caribbean. After MSC World Europa, MSC Seascape will be MSC Cruises' second new ship to be launched this year. 

MSC Seascape will be christened on December 7, 2022 at Manhattan Cruise Terminal in New York take place in the city. 

The new ship will offer two different 7-night itineraries from/to Miami: 

  • Ocean Cay MSC Marine Reserve and Nassau in the Bahamas, San Juan in Puerto Rico and Puerto Plata in the Dominican Republic.
  • Ocean Cay MSC Marine Reserve, Cozumel in Mexico, George Town on the Cayman Islands and Ocho Rios in Jamaica

Highlights of the MSC Seascape

  • As with her sister ship MSC Seashore, 65 percent of MSC Seascape's public areas have been completely redesigned compared to the original Seaside prototype, guests will experience beautiful spaces to discover new horizons at sea:
  • 98 hours of live entertainment per cruise, 7.567 square meters of children's areas and state-of-the-art entertainment facilities
  • 2.270 cabins with twelve different cabin types and suites with balconies, including the coveted aft suites
  • Eleven restaurants, 19 bars and lounges with plenty of al fresco dining and drinking options
  • Six swimming pools, including a stunning stern infinity pool with incredible ocean views
  • The MSC Yacht Club will be the largest and most luxurious of the MSC Cruises fleet, covering an area of ​​approximately 3.000 square meters. It offers stunning views of the sea from the ship's front decks
  • A sprawling promenade that's even closer to the water, stretching nearly 540 feet
  • A spectacular glass bridge on deck 16 with a unique view of the sea

MSC Seascape environmental technologies

The ship will be equipped with the latest environmental technologies. This includes selective catalytic reduction systems on each of the four Wärtsilä 14V 46F engines, which reduce nitrogen oxide emissions by up to 90 percent by converting the nitrogen oxide into harmless nitrogen and water. MSC Seascape's hybrid emission control system will remove 98 percent of sulfur oxides from emissions.
 The ship is equipped with the most advanced sewage treatment systems, with cleaning standards exceeding those of most land-based sewage treatment plants. It also boasts advanced waste management systems, US Coast Guard-approved ballast water treatment systems, state-of-the-art engine room oil spill prevention systems, and various effective energy efficiency improvements - from heat recovery systems to LED lighting that can save energy.

The ship will be equipped with an underwater noise control system that will reduce underwater noise to reduce the potential impact on marine life.
