The on-board catering relies on proven TUI Cruises concepts. On board the new building, foodies can choose from a total of 12 restaurants and bistros. The former "Gosch" is renamed "Fischrestaurant Fischmarkt". Two new specialty restaurants with somewhat strange names are added. - There are also new bars: there are the “Hoheluft Bar” and the “Ebbe & Flut Beer Bar”.

The new Mein Schiff 1 was christened by the beach volleyball Olympic champions Kira Walkenhorst and Laura Ludwig. As expected, the christening ceremony was well staged.
