Oceania Cruises is simplifying boarding policies

August 10, 2022 – The premium cruise brand Oceania Cruises, which belongs to Norwegian Cruise Line (NCL), is focusing on safe and easy travel conditions from September 3, 2022. Beneficiaries are vaccinated and unvaccinated travelers and children under the age of twelve.

While the Covid-19 pandemic continues to impact manufacturing, service delivery, movement of goods and the travel industry internationally, Oceania Cruises' simplified travel policies are consistent with the global return to normalcy. It stands to reason that cruise lines are revising their health and safety protocols. In the case of Oceania Cruises, this means:

Vaccinated travelers aged twelve years and older do not require testing.
Unvaccinated travelers are asked to present a negative medically performed Covid-19 test. Antigen and PCR test results must not be older than 72 hours at the time of embarkation.
For travelers up to the age of eleven no vaccination regulations or test protocols apply.

Oceania Cruises requires that vaccinated travelers meet the generally accepted definition of "fully vaccinated" applicable to the destination from which they will board the ship and/or to which they are traveling. Proof of vaccination is required. Travelers who who cannot provide proof of vaccination are considered unvaccinated.

Regardless of the simplified health and safety protocols, Oceania Cruises continues to strongly encourage all guests to keep their vaccinations up to date and to be tested at their discretion prior to sailing.

Oceania Cruises emphasizes that all officers and crew remain fully vaccinated. They also have to undergo regular Covid-19 tests. If individual travel destinations have specific requirements, Bermuda, Greece and Canada are currently being considered, these will be communicated to guests and travel partners if necessary.
