The Enchanted Princess, which will be commissioned in 2021, is also affected by the Ukraine conflict. The "enchanting princess" will not spend her summer season in the Baltic Sea as planned. Instead, the cruise ship departs from Southampton for cruises.
The premium shipping company Princess Cruises, which belongs to the US Carnival Corporation, informed about changes in plans regarding the originally planned Baltic Sea trips. Shipping companies are deleting Russian ports from their ships' itineraries for understandable reasons. The 300 meter long Enchanted Princess will therefore not come off this summer Copenhagen embark on Baltic Sea cruises.

Instead, the cruise ship, which can accommodate a maximum of 3.660 guests, will start from May 4th to August 22nd Southampton to interesting trips. The revised plans provide for a total of twelve trips of four to 22 days. The longest journey takes the ship via Scandinavia, the British Isles and the Azores to New York. A short trip leads to the Dutch city of Rotterdam and the Channel Island Guernsey. Other destinations of the Enchanted Princess include the Canary Islands, the classic Mediterranean destinations of Spain, France and Portugal as well Reykjavik / Iceland (see also Iceland - Golden Circle Tour).

Princess Cruises operates 15 premium ships. In 2019, the shipping company carried around two million passengers. The Princess Cruises fleet calls at 330 ports on seven continents on various routes. The last new build of the Royal Class, the Discovery Princess, was taken over in January 2022. The company also plans to deploy two ships powered by low-emission liquefied natural gas (LNG) in the future. We report on our experiences with ships of the Royal Class under Majestic Princess.
