The Diamond Princess, which can accommodate a maximum of 2.670 guests, will be used in the Far East. Built in Nagasaki, Japan, the ship will start its Japan season on March 15, 2025.

The start is an eleven-day round trip from/to Yokohama. The metropolis is the port of Japan's capital Tokyo. The premiere trip is followed by several eleven and twelve-day "cherry blossom trips". In the course of this, the ship heads for the four main islands of Japan. Princess Cruises offers to combine the individual trips into a nearly three-week adventure trip.

In addition to the cherry blossom festival, Japan is also known for extraordinary summer festivals. They provide a deeper insight into the culture and traditions of the country. The cruises offered in summer include visits to renowned festivals. Thanks to later departure times, the festivities can be enjoyed well into the evening hours.

The festivals to choose from are: Aomori Nebuta Festival (2nd and 7th August), Kochi Yosakoi Dance Festival (12th August), Tokushima Awa Odori Dance Festival (13th August) and Kumano Fireworks Festival (17th August). August). The latter can also be admired from the Diamond Princess.

Other highlights of the Japan program include XNUMX- and XNUMX-day trips along the historic Kitamaebune trade route and XNUMX-day Japan Explorer trips. The latter lead to some of the country's most famous destinations, such as Shimizu (Fujijama), Osaka, Kobe (Kyoto) or Hiroshima.
