Karl WP Beyer 29 August 2023 – Mein Schiff 7 will join the fleet of TUI Cruises ships in the summer of next year. Work on the new building is progressing rapidly in Finland. The block with the allegorical diamond at the stern was recently placed on the ship's hull. The first cabins are currently being added.
The Mein Schiff 7 is a sister ship of the Mein Schiff 1 and my ship 2 In terms of length and number of cabins, both ships are significantly larger than the cruise ships of the so-called Blue Motion class previously put into service. As far as this class is concerned, there is talk of Mein Schiff 3 to Mein Schiff 6. Mein Schiff 7 is the first ship in the fleet to offer single cabins for single travelers. There are also noteworthy additions in the culinary field. In addition to the proven dining options, Mein Schiff 7 will have an Asia & Sushi restaurant, an exclusive Italian restaurant and a traditional coffee house with coffee and pastry specialties.

The Hamburg shipping company is focusing on sustainability with the new building. This is achieved through the use of low-emission marine diesel (sulphur content: 0,1%), catalytic converters (nitrogen oxide reduction: around 75%) and a shore power connection. In addition, the ship could be operated with methanol in the future, in the future green methanol. Green methanol would produce an almost CO2-neutral ship propulsion guaranteed. The further developed system for waste processing represents an innovation. Organic waste is crushed by thermal treatment and processed in such a way that only clear water and a kind of organic charcoal remain.
