Two taster cruises, two world tour formats and a variety of trips through the Mediterranean, Black Sea and Nordland are on the 2013 route plan for COLUMBUS 2. It also offers more than 20 themed trips for families and golfers. From the next season, the travel concierge will ensure even more individual experiences with tailor-made land arrangements. Guests can keep track of the holiday fund with the COLUMBUS complete package. The small ship, designed for a maximum of 698 passengers, will set sail for Hapag-Lloyd Kreuzfahrten in April 2012 for the first time.

Route highlights and individual land programs
At the end of October 2012, the COLUMBUS 2 will start on its first "Great World Tour". In 172 days it leads from / to Monte-Carlo in more than 45 countries and island states. The shorter 117-day variant begins in La Guaira / Venezuela in December 2012. The COLUMBUS 2 offers travel experiences that suit the holiday framework in spring and autumn 2013: the combination trips along the coasts of the Mediterranean and Western Europe can be extended by one to three weeks . From June to August 2013, the COLUMBUS 2 also cruises in the North and the Baltic Sea, including the ever popular short trips: Two three-day routes go to Copenhagen and Sylt. The winter trips lead for the first time via Senegal and Namibia to South Africa and on to South America, the destination of the Christmas trip 2013.
The travel concierge offers the possibility to book tailor-made land arrangements for the cruise according to your own wishes. Extended hotel stays and individual round trips or guided tours before, during or after the trip make the cruise an even more personal travel experience.
Themed trips for families and golfers
Thanks to its family atmosphere on board, the COLUMBUS 2 is the ideal entry-level ship and also offers the right environment for families: On a total of eleven family trips, children up to and including 15 years of age travel free of charge in the (grand) parents' cabin and experience the first swimming "Steiff" -World in the new kids and teens club. Children and family excursions also provide entertainment. On ten Golf & Cruise trips, golfers can experience the most beautiful greens between Northern and South Africa. Golf tees with video analysis and putting green are available on board for training with a PGA golf pro.
COLUMBUS complete package: inclusive services on board and ashore
The COLUMBUS complete package, which can be booked for each trip, offers planning security for the travel budget on all routes. It includes table and bar drinks as well as a credit for freely selectable shore excursions. It is the only inclusive package that includes services on board AND on land with maximum individuality.
