With this term, four short cruises are the Mein Schiff 5 meant, which the shipping company takes into the program shortly before the christening and the official maiden voyage.
The ships of the generation Mein Schiff 3 emerged or emerged in the building dock of the Meyer Turku Oy shipyard in Finnland. Apparently, with the third new building within three years, the processes of the shipyard and the Hamburg cruise line are so well timed that an early delivery and commissioning of the approximately 293 meter long new building can be expected.
The date of the christening of Mein Schiff 5 off Lübeck-Travemünde has been set for July 15, 2016 for a long time. There is therefore a time window of almost two weeks between commissioning and christening. This explains why the shipping company includes four three to four-day short cruises in the Baltic Sea region in its program before the ship is christened. Football fans are assured that the matches of the European Football Championship in France will be broadcast live on board.
