What would the ship be without its crew? Around 1.250 people take care of the needs of almost 3.000 guests. Many crew members work in secret. You never get to see them.
It is different with that Master of the Ship. Captain Dimitrios Kafetzis is the captain par excellence. Apparently he has the ship and its crew under control. Whoever we ask speaks of this captain with great respect. He is regularly present in the public areas. There he repeatedly proves his talent as a gifted communicator.
Those crew members that we see again and again stand out across all areas as extremely friendly, helpful and hands-on. The guests are treated extremely courteously. People with disabilities are given assistance without hesitation. Ice-cold towels, shaders and armchairs are offered to tired guests on their return from their shore excursions. Water and juice drinks are served with a smile.
Many of the employees we interviewed have been working on Celebrity ships for years. It creates the impression that they enjoy doing their job. The company's training programs, in which employees continuously participate, certainly contribute to professionalism.
The contacts with the crew mainly relate to the stateroom attendants, the employees in the restaurants, the pool butlers and the receptionists. The handling of the employees of the external service providers on board the ship (shops, gym and spa) is also to be praised. With regard to our trip, we would particularly like to use the event manager Allen Sharpe who supported us in the best possible way.
