Rehearsed with two used and well-prepared ships TUI Cruises Entry into the German market in 2009 and 2010. The ships got the names Mein Schiff 1 and Mein Schiff 2. In the early summer of 2014 Mein Schiff 3, the first new building put into service. It was built by the Meyer Turku Oy shipyard in Turku / Finland.

What the new building of Mein Schiff 4 For that matter, it took 714 days to Captain Kjell Holm On May 8, 2015, Meyer Turku Oy-Werft officially took over the new building on behalf of the company. Mein Schiff 4 was christened on June 5, 2015 in Kiel. Germany's exceptional swimmer Franziska van Almsick acted as godmother.

The successful design of the ship was developed by architects from Germany, Finland, Sweden and the USA. With Mein Schiff 4, a first-class cruise ship has been created that continues the high standards of the three first ships of the Hamburg cruise line in terms of hardware. "Feeling good in a new dimension" is what promises from the TUI AG and Royal Caribbean jointly founded company TUI Cruises serves its guests.

A significant difference is that “Meerleben”, the first maritime museum on board a cruise ship, had to give way to the newly established “Waterkant” bar and a cutaway model of Mein Schiff 4.
