Restaurants
On board the Queen Mary 2, guests live and dine exquisitely. Main courses based on fish, poultry or various types of meat are always perfect. The portions are sizable and the desserts are wonderful. Vegetarian options complete the menu. A select but not cheap range of wines accompanies the dishes. Water is served with meals. The service is exemplary.
The restaurants associated with the cabin categories
With the decision for the cabin category, it is determined in which of the three main restaurants mentioned below the meals (breakfast, lunch and dinner) are taken.
It should be noted that the shipping company attaches importance to observing a certain dress code after 18pm in the evening. Whether “informal” or “formal” regulates the daily program. From this point on, jeans are no longer desired in the service restaurants.
Britannia Restaurant - Decks 2 and 3
Inside, Outside and Balcony guests dine in two sittings in the Britannia Restaurant, which extends over two decks and additional levels.
Meal times: 18:00pm and 20:30pm
Passengers in category A12 and A1 balcony staterooms on deck 2 dine in a more intimate area of the restaurant.

Optional restaurants
Golden Lion Pub - Deck 2
We find it pleasant to have lunch at the Golden Lion Pub. After hearty, delicious fish & chips or a ploughman's lunch accompanied by a draft Old Speckled Hen, we recommend doing several laps around the surrounding boat deck.
King's Court Buffet - Deck 7
A less rigid dress code applies at the large Kings Court Buffet, which is divided into separate areas. From 4:00 am to 2:00 am there is always something to eat: Continental Breakfast, Breakfast, Chef's Galley, Healthy Corner, Lunch, Burger & Sandwich Station, Afternoon Snack, Dinner, Pizza & Pasta station as well as a late snack.
In the evenings between 19:00pm and 21:00pm, the "Kings Court" is transformed into an à la carte restaurant in some areas. Guests can enjoy Italian, Indian, Pan-Asian, American and Mexican specialties for US$15/person.
Steakhouse at The Verandah - Deck 8
In front of the pool terrace, the elegant, fee-based steakhouse courts the favor of the guests. Steaks, Maine lobster or Alaskan king crab are just a few of the specialties. The main courses are accompanied by refined starters and desserts.

Bars & Lounges
A passenger ship of the shipping company's size and demands requires representative bars and lounges. We present them staggered by deck:
Golden Lion Pub - Deck 2
A pub belongs on an “English” ship. While this pub doesn't exactly match our experience of 'quintessentially English' pubs, we visit it regularly. The Golden Lion is not lacking in popularity. It's no wonder, since its small menu offers hearty English dishes at lunchtime and in the evenings visitors while away their time with live music, darts, broadcasts of sporting events, and quizzes and karaoke events. And the well-kept drinks are not to be scoffed at.

G32 Nightclub - Deck 3
Named after the ship's hull number, the two-story eatery caters to fans of the techno scene. The nightclub is accessible from the Queens Room. The G32 opens at 9:30pm and closes after the last guests have left.

The elegant lounge next to the champagne bar, subtly decorated with nautical elements, is the perfect place to review the day's events before or after dinner while listening to soft music. During the day, passengers use the space to read or daydream.

Carinthia Lounge - Deck 7
In the course of the modernization of the QM2016 carried out in 2, the Winter Garden amidships gave way to the Carinthia Lounge. The space extends across the entire width of the ship. During the day, it serves as a place for guests to relax. A small breakfast, a light lunch and pastries are offered. In the evening it changes

Churchill's Cigar Lounge - Deck 9
Adjoining the Commodore Club to starboard is the Cigar Lounge, which is obligatory for such a shipe. The lounge was named after the two-time Prime Minister of the United Kingdom. In the lounge, connoisseurs can enjoy their calvados, cognac, whiskey or rum. It goes without saying that a selection of cigars is also on offer.

Pavilion Bar - Deck 12
In the front area of the 12th deck, the Pavilion Bar is open when the weather is good.
Boardwalk Cafe - Deck 12
The Boardwalk Café is located on the port side of the huge aft deck. We had already dedicated ourselves to him under "Optional restaurants". In addition to food, it also offers drinks.
Attention animal lovers:
The kennels, the animal cages, are located on the starboard side in a secure environment. The QM2 transports dogs and cats exclusively on transatlantic voyages. During the journey they are cared for by the Kennel Masters. Even a London fire hydrant was thought of so the males could lift their leg. Pet owners are free to visit their animals during the trip.
