Ship hulls have long been made of steel. A modern cruise ship can easily use 40.000 tons of steel. That happens in shipyards. In huge halls, new ships are built in block construction with high technological input and in a relatively short time.

The Carthaginians, Phoenicians and Romans had ships built in shipyards. It is said from China that ships were built there in dry docks at the beginning of the 15th century.

There are tons of shipyards around the world. Shipbuilding is a highly competitive market. We are particularly interested in the construction of cruise ships.
