Carnival Luminosa will launch in Australia in November 2022

August 30, 2022 - It is now possible to book trips with the Carnival Luminosa. The ship's home port is Brisbane, Australia. The 294 meter long cruise ship was put into service in May 2009 under the name Costa Luminosa. In the current year, the ship changed within the Carnival Group to Carnival Cruise Line.

Before starting service in Australia, a comprehensive "facelift" is pending. The shell will be painted in the new Carnival look. The chimney remains in the Costa-typical design. The modernization also includes the interior of the cruise ship. Carnival Luminosa retains many of the bars, restaurants and spa facilities found on other Carnival ships. Also on board: the Alchemy Bar, the Fahrenheit 555 Steakhouse, the RedFrog Rum Bar, Playlist Productions, the Piano Bar 88, the Punchliner Comedy Club. Guests can relax in the Cloud 9 Spa and in the Serenity. With double occupancy, the ship holds 2.260 passengers. Carnival put the number of crew members at 926 people.
