May 13, 2020 - Carnival's premium cruise brand Holland America Line is surprising with a change in COVID-19times. After five and a half years with the company, “President” Orlando Ashford is leaving the company at the end of May. Ashford successfully managed the fortunes of the 14 ship fleet.
The cruise ships of the renowned Holland America Line carry more than 900.000 passengers worldwide every year. Orlando Ashford is reported to be leaving the company at his own request. The company extensively recognizes him as the leader who rejuvenated the brand and repositioned it with an emphasis on improved in-flight entertainment, live music and cuisine. Ashford was responsible for sales and marketing, people management, route planning, public relations, hotel operations and corporate strategy.

Orlando Ashford's leadership roles before Holland America Line were diverse and diverse. He previously held managerial positions, including personnel management. His early career stations included Coca Cola, Motorola, Ameritech and Andersen Consulting.
The personnel change comes at an inopportune time for Carnival Corporation & plc. Rick Meadows, President of the Carnival luxury brand Seabourn Cruise Line, had previously announced his resignation on May 31, 2020. Organizationally, Seabourn reports to Holland America Line. Insiders do not know the reasons why the two top executives left their companies during COVID-19 times.
