The U.S. reports increasingly dramatic numbers of citizens infected with COVID-19 every day. It is inevitable that the pandemic is assessed as a high risk of virus outbreaks on cruise ships. Until recently, the American industry giants had examined the possibilities of resuming Caribbean cruises from individual American ports. The industry association of cruise companies, the CLIA, originally assumed that cruises would be interrupted until mid-September. Cruises to Alaska, the New England states and Canada have to be canceled.
